Our Parent Teacher Organization (PTO) has a rich tradition of volunteering. Everyone has special gifts and talents, and we encourage you to share yours with the students and faculty at Edgewood Elementary through our PTO volunteer program. Whether you have a few hours to spare or are able to commit more time, there is a place for you in our PTO family.
Fifth Grade Committee Volunteers assist the committee chairs in planning the 5th grade finale at the annual talent show, order 5th grade t-shirts, and plan the end of the year party held after 5th grade celebration. Click here to sign up to volunteer.
The Room Parent and Room Parent Assistant facilitate communication between parents, teachers, school administration, and the PTO, and provide support to the teacher throughout the school year.

There will be ONE room parent per class and ONE room parent assistant per class. Please note that you may only be room parent or room parent assistant for one class as we hope to give everyone an opportunity to volunteer. We ask that room parents and room parent assistants attend an informational meeting on Monday, August 12th at 2pm in the Edgewood Elementary cafeteria.
Volunteer Translators assist with translation and communication with our non-English speaking families at various events.

Edgewood Gear Volunteers will assist the Edgewood Gear team in selling gear at PTO sponsored events throughout the school year.

Spring Festival Silent Auction Volunteers will assist the Spring Festival silent auction chair in securing various silent auction items for our annual festival. Spring Festival will be Saturday, April 12th.

House Day Volunteers will be needed this year at various House events and meetings.

My Pals Day Volunteers will help the day-of the event in various capacities.

Talent Show Volunteers will work with the Talent Show Team to help with auditions, dress rehearsal and talent show. Talent Show is Friday, February 21st.

Turkey Trot Volunteers are responsible for assisting the Turkey Trot Chairs with the execution of the one-mile fun run held in November. The 2024 Turkey Trot will be on November 3rd.

Hospitality Volunteers help with the set up and distribution of the monthly teacher treats and during Teacher Appreciation Week.

Media Center Volunteers help by re-shelving books and other types of media in the Edgewood library.

Art Volunteers will assist our art teachers in various tasks including cutting paper, framing, prepping projects, etc.

School Grounds Volunteers keep our school beautiful! Please sign up for a weekend and have your group, scout troop, or family meet at Edgewood on either Saturday or Sunday to clean up around the school.
